Tim's Man Cave

We are finally turning that pile of medal we had sitting in our back yard into a garage. It's only been sitting there for a little over a year now but thanks to Ryan and his dad helping us get the concrete slab done and Harley getting Tim motivated again, we are actually getting somewhere. We bought this metal building last year and it hasn't moved since its been delivered. Tim has been busy with work and church callings and all but I thought he would have found some way to make time to get his man cave built. I personally can't wait, I'm tired of all the junk in our back yard. Harley tells me its Tim's man cave and I can't put that kind of stuff in there. But until we can get my little shed its going to have to go in the cave!


That's Tori on the very top of the ladder, I can't believe Tim let her go up there!

We are constantly telling the girls to stay away from the ladders and stay off the cement, and then he lets her go to the very top. I'm glad I wasn't out there to see that!

Taegan's 1st Week of Kindergarten

As you all know Taegan started Kindergarten last week, and she loves it. Every day when she would come home I would ask her who she played with or what she learned and some of her answers were just too funny not to share. The first day she came home and I asked who she played with at school and she said, "oh, I played with my best friend". So then I asked her what her best friend's name was and she said, "I don't know she didn't tell me".

Then the next day I asked what she had learned at school and she said, "mom, I can't believe it, my teacher doesn't teach me anything, all she does is read books". She was quite disgusted with her teacher that day.

Thursday I asked her again who she played with, and before she could even answer Tylee said she saw her at recess on the swing and there was two little boys taking turns pushing her. Then she said that one of them was brown and one of them was white. Taegan got so mad at her and yelled "no, one was black and one was white". So then I had to explain to the both of them that the color of the boys did not matter, and that its okay to play with everyone no matter what color their skin is. Toni and Tori of course are cracking up laughing and just thought it was so funny. I guess Tylee and Taegan are just at that age where they notice that everybody doesn't have the same color of skin.

First Day of School

I decided to start our own blog after checking out everybody Else's and figured this would be a great time to start. The first day of school is always so exciting, the girls couldn't wait to get up in the morning I don't think they hardly slept that night, and with all the hairdo's I had to do we got up bright and early. This year Toni is going into 8th, Tori 5th, Tylee 2nd, and Taegan is starting kindergarten. I can't believe I will have no kids at home now, I'll have the day to myself. Its kinda sad that Taegan is starting kindergarten being that he is our last baby, but at the same time I'm looking forward to it. She won't be 5 until October so I think that kinda makes it harder for me because I feel like she is so young. I didn't cry after we dropped her off though, so I guess I'm not as sensitive as some parents. She was looking forward to going since the last day of preschool last year and she couldn't figure out why she had to wait the whole summer before she got to go to Tylee's school. She was so excited and couldn't wait to go so I think that made it a little easier for me to drop her off and leave her there. I think her riding the bus home made me more nervous than leaving her at school, but she wouldn't have it any other way and with her 3 big sisters riding and all her cousins, I knew they would look out for her. Of course threatening them if they didn't protect her did help.

I thought this was a cute picture because all the girl got to pick out their own backpacks and it kind of shows their different styles. These are a couple of Taegan's poses, she was so proud to be going to the Big Kid School!

And of course, You can't take pictures without doing the stair steps, I think when I was growing up I thought that was how pictures were suppose to be taken.
