Girl's New School Pictures

Here are the girl's new school pictures they turned out cute, a couple of them have fake smiles but I won't mention any names. I hate messing with makeup pictures and there's still no guarantee they will turn out good so the fake smiles will have to do. They are getting so big, time really does fly when you have kids.

Toni & Tori's Punishment

Toni was being mean to Tori so for their punishment I made them stand in the middle of the family room for five minutes and hug each other. At first they thought it was stupid but kind of funny and every time they tried to sit down or let go of each other, I started the timer over.

Taegan's Soccer Party

Teagan had her last soccer game and they had an after party at the bowling alley. They make the season short for that age group because it starts to get too cold for them to want to play and their games were at 8:00am every Saturday. I'm glad its done, I hate early morning games. Here are some pictures of Teagan and her friend Ashly at their last game and at the party with their trophies.

I Got More Film Developed

I got more film developed since the post "Thank goodness for digital cameras" from Sep.24th. I started with 35 rolls and now I have 27 left. I just grab a couple of roll out of this zip lock bag that they are all in and it seems like every time Tylee is in most of the pictures. Out of the last two I got developed one of them wasn't even my roll of film but I still had to pay for it. It was a neighbor of ours in Washington, and none of our kids were even in any of the pictures. It was really weird because it wasn't people we even use to hang out with. Any how, here are some of the latest pictures.

Tylee Got Caught by Surprise

You have to check out this video of Tylee standing on the counter in the bathroom checking herself out. Toni comes out and said, "you have to come and see this". I had no idea what I was about to see but the first thing I did was grab my camera and I'm glad I did. Tylee was dancing in the mirror and talking to herself, it was so funny. I did get her permission to put this on my blog before I did because I didn't want her to be mad at me. Her face was so cute when she turned around and realized we were all standing there watching her because of course when Toni told me to come see, the other kids followed like little ducks.

Taegan's Birthday

Happy Birthday Taegan! Today she is 5 years old but going on 13. That girls personality is none like I've ever seen before. She is loving, sweet, nurturing, playful, kind, caring, helpful, stubborn, shy, funny, witty, easygoing, demanding, independent, humorous, charming, curious, ornery, spunky, crazy, competitive, spoiled, bratty, a go getter, and who knows what else. If any of you have anymore to add please feel free to comment. She is our youngest and even though she can be difficult to handle sometimes I love who she is, she keeps me on my toes and always laughing. I wouldn't change anything about her. My baby is growing up, we love you Taegan!

I'm about ready to give her away.

I had our whole night planned out last night. I was going to make this great dinner because I know its one of the girls favorites but it takes a while to make it so I don't do it very often, and we were going to have family home evening and then I got stuff to make a this fun desert that I was going to have the whole family participate in. Everything was going great, I was in the kitchen starting dinner and Tylee comes running out of my bedroom freaking out and screaming, "TAEGAN CUT, and before she could finished my heart sunk because I thought she was going to say she cut herself, because just about a week ago she was playing with a razor and cut a big chunk of skin out of her thumb. For those of you that don't know, I don't handle blood very well. So all these thoughts were going through my head as she was screaming and then she said, "she cut all her hair off, all around her head." I instantly went mad, I ran in there and there is Taegan walking out of my bedroom like its no big deal. She didn't just cut a piece of hair off, she gave herself a complete hair cut.

There was a pile of hair in my bathroom and I was so upset. I was yelling and screaming, "why did you do this, you know better, you are not allowed to play with scissors and you are not allowed to cut your hair." You see last year she took a piece of hair on the top of her head and cut it, (she wore a pony tail for a while because I refuse to cut her hair) but she got into a lot of trouble and knew it was not okay to do that and knew she would be in a lot of trouble if she ever did it again. Apparently that didn't phase her. She has been telling me the last couple of weeks that she wants to get her hair cut. I don't know why she wants it cut, but I kept telling her no and telling her how pretty her long hair is. Well, I guess that wasn't good enough for her. That girl knows what she wants and she goes after it. After I calmed down a bit and stopped screaming, I cried. I loved her hair, she is the only one of our four girls that had long hair and was able to grow it that fast. Tim was trying to be very comforting, he was telling me there isn't anything we can do about it now, its already done and there's no need to be so upset about it. I know that he was right but I don't think dads care about something like that as much as moms do. Her Birthday is on the 13th and I am already having a hard time with my baby turning 5 and now its like a piece of who she was is gone, she looks more grown up now. So there went our fun family night because I had to finish cutting her hair and after that it was too late to make my dinner so I made something quick and put the girls to bed. Doing her hair this morning for school was sad for me, but Tim is right, there's nothing I can do about it now. So I need to get over it.

This is the after pictures of her new look and as you can see she loves it.

This is what she looked like before her new hairdo. Look how cute her long pony tails are. She knew I was upset when I was cutting her hair and she said, "mom, hair grows back". She's right, it will grow back and in the mean time, she loves it, and I can get use to it.
